Thanksgiving Friday

Wow the Chandon made the party, Aunt Kim, Lisa, Mark and I were absolutely giddy... By the way Lisa's pumpkin maple cheesecake was to die for... Wash it all down with a bottle (or 3) of Pinot Evil and The Rocky Horror Picture Show now that's a memorable Halloween Hic....

Ok so why would Chill TV run RHPS all day back to back on Thanksgiving? Meatloaf again?

Two days after the Election

This is a quote from Engine Summer by John Crowley

"In the last month of winter," she began, almost as though she were talking only to the cat at her feet, "which is the first of spring, the ice on the river , which had been solid and could bear weight, broke up and floated away in great clashing chunks, which makes a pretty sight."
"The ice asked: How is it that the river could accomplish such a thing? And the river might answer: Ice set itself a task it could not finish, and all that was left undone remained the river; and for the undoing of what you did do, well, it wasn't I at all but time and change and I am left."
" I say the river might answer so, but it doesn't answer, there being no ice left to answer to."

May we all be blessed and thankful for time and change...

In Loving Memory

In memory of 'Royal Looks Zaphod Beaglebrox" - Zaphy!
October 30, 1995 - October 7, 2008
Zaphy's body couldn't keep up with his spirit and he left us the evening of October 7, 2008 He is survived by his humans Marylin & John and his kitties Trillian, Percy and Queenie. He is and will be missed terribly. In Zaphy's life, he taught Marylin how to love a dog, did many excellent parlor tricks and taught kittens about dogs and played with them. He taught John to speak for him to 'earn' many treats. Good dogs all go to heaven.  He was loving to his last breath. He was attended by Dr Kayla Boyer.

Ok here is my political statement

Tom Ross talked me into doing a T - shirt for the campaign. Since I am normally A political, I begrudgingly went ahead and did it. Now I see we have a right wing school marm being tagged for VP and I am horrified.

Goddess in heaven what has happened to our country?

You can see all the designs here, and even purchase one if you want. http://sproutsforchange.com/
All proceeds go to helping Barack.

I kind of like the bunny theme, get it? Out of one many! Ha - should have said E Pluribus Bunum...

9-8-08

Another wild night. Coyotes everywhere and the dogs where just wild. Every morning driving in to Santa Fe there is a skunk squashed on the highway. Yet there seems to be no shortage of skunks. At least the dogs haven't gotten hold of one this summer. More art coming soon...

On the Road to Distopia

Hmmmm the dogs are awfully quiet right now, this morning Nina has gotten out three times.

The Doctor's germans are at the fence.

Some day I may get to sleep in.

What the heck is DNA?

Many years ago when I was a young artist fresh out of school, I found myself faced with the prospect of making a living. Horrified at the idea of getting a job, I took advice from my friend Carol S and began a line of ceramic masks and dinosaur figures. Since the masks where mostly robots and aliens I named my new company Dinosaurs N Aliens, get it?

When it comes to art I have always led a charmed existence. I seem to have a lot of luck and many of the persons I met very early on are still with me 25 odd years later.

Here is the ad from my last show at Victoria Boyce Gallery in Scottsdale AZ February 2008. "Products of a Disordered Mind".

Vicky has been my primary agent for my entire career. In fact with out her I would probably never have experienced the success I have had.

Hmmm so here is day two on the blog. I should have been in the studio last night glazing work for a show in New York, but instead I sat in front of the TV and did whatever was necessary to avoid watching the Democratic Convention.

Sheer laziness!

I can't stand negative political commercials, we are all in this together, I pray for the day when our politicians do something because it is the right thing to do and not to get re-elected or for money or power.

Ok so this isn't so much about art. I'll try to do better.

The world keeps changing but I just feel the same

Hello all, here is my new blog, I am going to share thoughts about myself and my art career. I have never done this before but I guess it is better to meet the future head on rather than being dragged forward kicking and screaming.

Wait I like kicking and screaming.
